More On Feist

Leave the box wine at home, this is Deer Valley.

As you know, I went to the Feist concert on Thursday. Because the last concert I went to was still fresh in my memory, comparisons were impossible to avoid.

So, for your reading pleasure (and so you can fit in next time you go to a show at Deer Valley), here are a few of my favorite observations.

1. When participating in any Deer Valley event, you must leave the "booty" shorts and combat boots at home.

In their stead, you can wear something you picked up at the local Abercrombie and Fitch or Gossip Girl yard sale.

Maybe this picture illustrates best what I'm talking about.

2. Don't even think about eating your gourmet cupcake with anything but a spoon.

That's right, a spoon.

Only pigs and and Journey fans stuff cupcakes in their faces with their hands.

3. Be informed that the shiny, brass, rectangular thing on the wall in the bathroom is, in fact, a baby changing station.

4. Make sure you don't forget your haute cuisine via picnic basket. If you do, don't fret, they sell fully loaded picnic baskets at the concessions stand.

Each basket contains (or should contain) the following:

Cheese (nicely aged)
Crackers
Baguette
Wine (good vintage)
Wine glasses
Wine glass holder (to stick in the lawn)
Gourmet cupcakes

...and possibly some real food (not verified).

All in all, Deer Valley has proven again that it's all right.

As for the show, Feist was a great performer. I think she wooed the Deer Valley crowd, and they can be pretty hard to please. I mean, old people were dancing in the aisles.

Here's to Deer Vally and Feist.

Nice candid shots...again! So, I guess I need to get one of your favorite bands to visit Cedar so you will come visit me.

You are so funny. So how much did these tickets cost? I would think that in order to attract the Deer Valley crowd, they'd have to be a bit on the pricey side. I can count on one hand the number of concerts I've ever been to...and you go every week!

And that girl scratching her nose looks like she's looking right into the camera...that's embarrassing! Was she?

At first I thought she was, but upon closer inspection, her eyes just don't quite hit the lense. Maybe she was trying not to look. I cropped the picture to take out the side of my face that ended up in the shot when I tried to hide the fact that I was taking a picture of them.

You are the master people-spotter. Being around people who eat cupcakes and wrap sweaters casually around their necks makes me want to punch the afore mentioned cupcakes and sweaters out of their hands or off of their necks. And, because I'm in a somewhat violent mood, I think I'll punch you if you bring in my embarrassing blog.

ha ha ha ha Michael, I can always count on you to make me laugh! You take the best shots of the funniest people! I mean really! You're so cool! I love the fact that you have been hitting all these concerts with OLD people in them, including myself as I'm a Journey fan (smile), How many more concerts are you planning to go to this summer? I can't wait to see more pictures of weird and crazy people doing weird and crazy things! You ROCK!

I went and saw Sting at Deer Valley way back when I was a 19 year old. No, I did not "fit in" with that crowd but yes, I had a great time because I love Sting! Keep on having fun, never a dull moment in your life!

Yuppee....I mean Yippee! Looks like a fun time. I don't believe I've been to Deer Valley. We'll have to change that sometime. BTW, that girl does look like she's looking at your camera. At first I thought you had Googled that couple.
