Baby Jane Hudson

As part of my continuing efforts to initiate Anne to Michael's Weird and Obscure Movie Club, I recently rented Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?

(The initiation process has been going on since we started dating, and will continue until she decides to get onto our Blockbuster Online account and add some movies of her choice to the queue.)

I first saw Baby Jane when I was in high school. It was one of those serendipitous meetings. I was flipping the channels late at night and stopped on AMC long enough to get a glimpse of Baby Jane (played by Bette Davis) doing something crazy.

The crazy factor kept me watching intently until the movie ended and led me to eventually renting and falling in like with the crazy characters, the crazy" plot, and the crazy surprise ending.

So next time you find yourself in the mood for two and a half hours of crazy (or, as in Anne's case, you find yourself with someone who's always up for crazy), go out and rent Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?

If you're only in the mood for two minutes of crazy, watch this.

Welcome to Michael's Weird and Obscure Movie Club.

You are so funny! I definitely think Anne should dress up as Baby Jane for Halloween! Ha ha. I swear...you're my brother, but I learn new things about you all the time!

Because I don't know how to hack into Michael's twitter account YET, I will declare on his blog that I do not want to be Baby Jane Hudson for Halloween. However, I think Michael would make an excellent Baby Jane. For those of you who don't get to enjoy Michael's impression of her, on a daily basis, like I do. Let me tell you, he can belt out a rendition of "I've Written a Letter to Daddy" that rivals Baby Jane herself.

Anyone who loves old movies, black and white and starring Bette Davis is a kindred spirit. Anne! I insist that you be Baby Jane for Halloween or you are out of the will. If you both go as Baby Jane, I will drop Sam and Mary from the will and give it all to you.

If I had a quarter for everytime you threatened to take me out of the will, I would be rich, and would no longer need to be in the will. So, your comment did little to pursuade me.

If I dress up as Baby Jane for Halloween, do I get to be added to the Cropper will? Just kidding...Michael, you are hilarious! You and I have watched a few crazy movies together ourselves. Remember when we watched Misery...I will never forgive myself for that. Maybe that is what started this creepy/weird movie obsession...

I really do think that my posterity is a little on the crazy side and Michael is the head of it all and to think what a cute cuddly baby he was. Now he is the CRAZY BABY JANE THINGY. I still love ya Michael!

Did the piano player clap so she wouldn't kill him? She makes a great crazy lady!! If I had a will, I'd probably nix both of you from it if you showed up as Baby Jane!!! However, the Cropper will may be a little more tempting!

Kimberly! I will speak to my lawyer about adding you to the will. But I doubt there will be much there because Anne, the greedy thing, will take it all.
Anne-- I don't see why you won't dress like Baby Jane. You dressed like the scary, emo, heavy metal rocker girl. This isn't that much of a departure.
Maybe I will dress up as Baby Jane for the ward Primary Halloween carnival.
Better yet, Diane, you drive up here and go with me to carnival and one of us will be Baby Jane and the other will be her psycho Mother.
